ULI SCHNEIDER FLAGSHIP-STORE

ULI SCHNEIDER has opened the new Flagship-Store in a sophisticated location in the ABC-Strasse in Hamburg in March. The ULI SCHNEIDER Collections and Accessories will be presented in a 100 square metre area.

The ULI SCHNEIDER Flagship-Store was established in a historic building dating from the end of the 19th  century. The facade of the building has been preserved with due respect and integrated very naturally into the contemporary design of the shop. The coexistence proves nothing less than that in spite of their contrasting natures, both old and new profit from the respectful interaction.

The interior of the Shop is dominated by the balanced composition of relaxed elegance and avant-garde design. Despite the strong character of the interior Design, fashion becomes the main actor. The mostly white and light elements of the furnishings do not distract, but rather underline the character and the personality of the clothing.

The length of the room is emphasized by an illuminated translucent wall 27 metres in length which can be illuminated in various shades of white, thus providing day and night effects. In a soft wave it slides along the wall over the length of the room: a design element which leads the customer floatingly to the back area and creates a sense of openness and accessibility. Here and there, never overloaded, clothing punctuates the length of the wall in an accentuated manner. Additional light elements within the translucent “apparel wall” provide a sculptural character.

Also quietly unassuming is the seamlesntegration of the long counters made of the high-tech material Wilsonart® which seems to be at one with the room.

The internationally renowned architecture company Yes Architecture has created a natural symbiosis of space and clothing through this architectural composition. And between Shop and ULI SCHNEIDER.
